Mohamed Salah has revealed his desire to win another Premier League title before potentially bidding farewell to Anfield, as speculation about his future intensifies.
Salah’s Dream: Another Premier League Triumph
With just six months remaining on his current Liverpool contract, Salah has publicly expressed his motivation to bring another Premier League trophy to Merseyside. The Egyptian forward, who has been pivotal to Liverpool’s success in recent years, acknowledges that his departure might be imminent but remains focused on leaving a lasting legacy.
“My motivation this year was really to win a trophy and be a big part of winning that trophy, especially the Premier League,” Salah told Liverpool’s matchday programme ahead of their clash against Ipswich Town.
Reflecting on Liverpool’s squad evolution, Salah said:
“There is still me, Virgil [van Dijk], Trent [Alexander-Arnold], Ali [Alisson], Joe [Gomez], and Robbo [Andy Robertson], so it’s five or six players left. I think it’s necessary to win another trophy before we all go.”
Salah remains determined to lift the Premier League trophy for a second time, adding, “We won almost everything but we only won [the Premier League] once, so hopefully we can win it twice. It would be great.”
Consistent Excellence: Salah’s Goal-Scoring Legacy
Beyond his Premier League ambitions, Salah also reflected on his remarkable goal-scoring consistency at Liverpool. The forward has scored 20+ goals in each of his eight seasons with the club—a feat he takes immense pride in.
“That is something incredible, something I am very proud of. I worked very hard for that,” Salah remarked.
Salah highlighted the challenges of maintaining such high standards as a winger, stating:
“It’s quite hard and tricky because sometimes when you do things every day and every year, people just think that it’s not hard. But scoring 20 or 30 goals for eight years in a row? It’s not easy at all. It’s something I’m very proud of.”
