Kieran Tierney Set to Return to Celtic on a Free Transfer

Arsenal defender Kieran Tierney is reportedly close to signing a pre-contract agreement to return to his boyhood club, Celtic, on a free transfer this summer. The Scotland international’s Arsenal journey, marked by injuries and limited game time, appears to be drawing to a close as he eyes a homecoming to Glasgow.

Tierney’s Time at Arsenal

Tierney joined Arsenal from Celtic in 2019 for a reported fee of £25 million. Despite showing flashes of brilliance, the left-back’s time in North London has been plagued by fitness issues. He has missed significant chunks of every season due to injuries, with his most recent full campaign ending in a loan spell at Real Sociedad in La Liga.
