Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford has been linked with a possible move away from Old Trafford, but Fenerbahçe have officially turned down the opportunity to sign the England international.

Rashford’s Uncertain Future at Manchester United

Rashford has not played for United since December 7 and has only been included in the matchday squad once in nearly two months. Head coach Ruben Amorim is reportedly unimpressed with his training performances and has refrained from selecting him until he sees significant improvement.

Several clubs, including AC Milan and Barcelona, have been linked with the 27-year-old, but financial and squad constraints have made a transfer difficult. Most recently, Rashford was reportedly offered to Fenerbahçe, managed by former United boss José Mourinho.

Fenerbahçe’s Official Response

Fenerbahçe vice-president Acun Ilicali addressed the speculation, confirming that while Rashford was an option, the club decided against pursuing a deal.

“It was in the news that we are interested in him. I think Rashford is a fantastic player, I really like him. When it came in front of us, unfortunately, we said no for this transfer,” Ilicali told Sky Sports.
“There is nothing that we are interested in him. Of course, there are some rumors that spread. I can say very comfortably that we are not interested, but he is a good player.”

What’s Next for Rashford?

Former United stars Rio Ferdinand and Paul Scholes have publicly questioned Rashford’s current attitude and commitment to the club. Ferdinand even suggested that there might be “no way back” for Rashford at United, while Scholes criticized the forward for failing to set a proper example for younger players.

Reports indicate that communication between Amorim and Rashford has deteriorated, with the coach reportedly addressing him only in group settings rather than engaging in one-on-one discussions.
