Marcus Rashford is no longer on speaking terms with Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim, following a series of issues between the two. The tension has escalated after Amorim’s sharp criticism of Rashford’s performance, leading to a complete communication breakdown between the manager and the star winger.

Amorim’s Harsh Criticism of Rashford

Ruben Amorim has been vocal about his dissatisfaction with Rashford’s training standards. Amorim’s latest comments, where he claimed that he would prefer to play 63-year-old goalkeeper coach Jorge Vital over the 27-year-old winger, have further strained their relationship. Despite recognizing the talent of Rashford, Amorim has made it clear that his poor attitude in training is unacceptable.

According to The Guardian, Amorim now only communicates with Rashford during team-wide conversations, a clear indication that their relationship has reached a breaking point.

Rashford’s Situation and Transfer Concerns

The 27-year-old forward, who had previously expressed a desire for a “new challenge,” remains available for transfer this month. However, he has struggled to find suitors. Reports suggest Rashford is attempting to get back into Amorim’s good books, but it appears the manager has already made up his mind.

Rio Ferdinand, a former Manchester United legend, recently warned Rashford that there may be “no way back,” while Paul Scholes has even suggested that the winger should be banished from the United dressing room. Scholes criticized Rashford for his attitude and poor training habits, stating that the young players at the club, like Alejandro Garnacho, could be negatively influenced by his example.

Scholes Criticizes Rashford’s Attitude

“I think Marcus has let a lot of people down,” Scholes told The Overlap. “With his attitude, and I think that’s what the manager is trying to say. If he’s in and around that dressing room, young players are seeing that as an example, the sooner he’s gone, the better.”

Scholes further emphasized the importance of setting a good example for younger players, referencing his own experience under Sir Alex Ferguson when he realized how his behavior affected his teammates.
