Paris Saint-Germain striker Randal Kolo Muani has officially completed a loan move to Juventus for the remainder of the 2024/25 season. Despite the departure of Kylian Mbappe from PSG last summer, Kolo Muani has struggled for game time and has now opted for a fresh challenge in Serie A.
Loan Deal Details
Juventus has agreed to pay PSG an initial loan fee of €1 million, with an additional €2 million contingent on performance-based conditions. Furthermore, €2.6 million in related costs have been confirmed, bringing the total potential outlay to €5.6 million.
Kolo Muani’s journey to Juventus marks a pivotal moment in his career. The French striker began making a name for himself at Nantes before joining Eintracht Frankfurt as a free agent in 2022. His impressive performances in Germany, coupled with his participation in France’s World Cup squad in Qatar, led PSG to invest over €80 million to bring him back to Ligue 1.
Struggles at PSG
However, Kolo Muani has failed to replicate his form at PSG. Last season, he managed just nine goals in 40 appearances across all competitions, and he has scored only twice this season. With limited playing opportunities under Luis Enrique, a loan move became a necessary step to reignite his career.
Interest from Other Clubs
Before sealing the deal with Juventus, Kolo Muani was linked with several Premier League clubs, including Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, Aston Villa, West Ham United, and Everton. Tottenham reportedly made an offer shortly before Juventus finalized the agreement.
Juventus’ Plans and Dusan Vlahovic Speculation
The arrival of Kolo Muani at Juventus has also fueled speculation about the future of current Juve striker Dusan Vlahovic. Chelsea has been heavily linked with the Serbian international, while Arsenal might rekindle their interest in the player. Vlahovic’s potential exit could pave the way for Kolo Muani to play a significant role in the remainder of Juventus’ campaign.
