Manchester United legend Denis Law has passed away at the age of 84, his family confirmed. Law, widely regarded as one of the club’s greatest ever players, had been battling dementia in recent years.
Career Highlights
Denis Law enjoyed a remarkable career at Manchester United, scoring 237 goals in 404 appearances for the club. His prolific strike rate made him a fan favourite at Old Trafford, and he was instrumental in the club’s resurgence following the Munich Air Disaster in 1958.
During his 11 years at United, Law helped secure two First Division titles, the European Cup, and the FA Cup. In 1964, he was awarded the prestigious Ballon d’Or, cementing his status as one of the game’s finest.
Law also made 55 appearances for Scotland, netting 30 times for his country. His impact on the international stage was equally impressive, showcasing his incredible goal-scoring ability.
