The future of Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic has become a hot topic, with the Serbian forward reportedly set to reject a contract extension in Turin. This development could pave the way for a big-money move to one of his high-profile suitors by the summer.

Juventus Facing Contract Dilemma with Vlahovic

Dusan Vlahovic, who joined Juventus in January 2022 after a stellar run with Fiorentina, has just 18 months remaining on his current deal. Despite his success, Juventus faces the prospect of losing their star striker either at a discount this summer or potentially for free in 2026 if no agreement is reached.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, negotiations between Juventus and Vlahovic’s camp occurred just before Christmas, but the 25-year-old’s representatives are reportedly eyeing free agency. This scenario mirrors Federico Chiesa’s transfer to Liverpool last summer, although Vlahovic’s market value is significantly higher.

With Juventus determined to avoid losing the striker without compensation, they may have no choice but to entertain offers during the upcoming transfer window.

Premier League Giants Arsenal & Chelsea on Alert

Arsenal has reignited their interest in Vlahovic after narrowly missing out on him in 2022. With Gabriel Jesus struggling with injuries, Mikel Arteta’s side lacks depth in attack, making the Serbian striker an ideal target.

Chelsea, meanwhile, is desperate for a consistent goal-scoring presence since the days of Diego Costa. Adding Vlahovic could provide the prolific ‘number nine’ they’ve been missing in their squad.

Barcelona and Al Nassr Also in the Mix

Barcelona is another club linked with Vlahovic, with the Catalan giants eager to prepare for life beyond Robert Lewandowski, who turns 37 this summer. However, a move to Saudi Arabia’s Al Nassr seems off the table, with prominent journalist Gianluca Di Marzio reporting that Vlahovic has already turned down an offer from the Middle East.

Juventus has bolstered their attacking options with the return of Nico Gonzalez from injury and the loan signing of Randal Kolo Muani from Paris Saint-Germain. These reinforcements could make a summer sale of Vlahovic more feasible.

Although the Serbian striker managed 18 goals in all competitions last season, he hasn’t surpassed the 20-goal mark since the 2021/22 campaign, when most of his 29 strikes were for Fiorentina.
