Chelsea Faces Injury Concerns Ahead of Wolves Clash

Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has expressed concern over the fitness of Cole Palmer and Levi Colwill ahead of Monday night’s Premier League match against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Injury Concerns for Key Players
Chelsea suffered a setback during their midweek draw against Bournemouth, with Cole Palmer sustaining damage to his ankle. Enzo Maresca confirmed Palmer is a fitness doubt for the upcoming fixture. “Cole is a doubt,” Maresca admitted. “The first half [of the last game] they kicked him so he didn’t train today. We don’t know if he will train in the next two days,” Maresca added.

Levi Colwill, Chelsea’s first-choice centre-back, is also at risk of missing out due to a knock. Additionally, regular absentees Romeo Lavia and vice-captain Enzo Fernandez are dealing with muscle fatigue.

Team Preparedness for Absences
Maresca acknowledged Chelsea’s reliance on Palmer but expressed confidence in the team’s ability to adapt. “We rely on Cole because he’s a big player. We prefer to play with Cole but in case he has an injury or a problem, then we will find a solution.”
