- Amad’s contract extended until 2030 following impressive performances.
- The Ivorian winger has become a standout player under Ruben Amorim.
- Amad shares his excitement about staying at a club he loves.
Amad Diallo has expressed his joy after committing his future to Manchester United by signing a new five-and-a-half-year contract, keeping him at Old Trafford until 2030.
The Ivorian winger has been a rare bright spot in what has been a challenging season for United. Despite their struggles in the Premier League—sitting in the bottom half of the table with just six wins in 20 games—Amad has shone with key contributions, including a winning goal against Manchester City and a vital equalizer at Liverpool.
The Red Devils parted ways with Erik ten Hag in October, appointing Ruben Amorim as his replacement. While the Portuguese manager has faced difficulties adapting the squad to his new system, Amad’s form has been a significant positive.
Amad’s Love for United
Speaking about his decision to extend his stay, Amad told the club’s official channels:
“It means a lot for me because I love this club. Every time I pull on the jersey, I’m so proud.
Every time I’m on the pitch, I want to fight for this club, and I’m so happy to be here for a long time.”
Amad also reflected on the progress the team has made under Amorim:
“Yeah, we learn every day. It’s a new system for everyone. At the beginning, it was not easy, but I think now the team is starting to understand the system a little bit more.
The manager and the staff are, every day, at the training ground to help us understand more of the system. We are very happy to have them and we want to follow them because we know, in the end, we will have success.”
Looking Ahead
Amad’s next opportunity to shine could come in United’s FA Cup third-round clash against Arsenal, a team that recently defeated them 2-0 in the Premier League. United are the reigning FA Cup champions, having triumphed over Manchester City in last season’s final, and will be eager to defend their title.
With Amad in fine form, United fans will hope he can inspire the team to a positive result and help turn their season around.
