Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak has been crowned the Premier League’s Player of the Month for December 2024, while Nottingham Forest manager Nuno Espirito Santo earned the Manager of the Month accolade for his exceptional leadership.

Isak claimed the award for the first time in his career following an electrifying month, netting eight goals and providing two assists across six games. The Swedish forward was in scintillating form, scoring in each of Newcastle’s matches throughout December.

• His run began with a goal and an assist in a thrilling 3-3 draw against Liverpool.
• He wrapped up the month by scoring against Manchester United, helping Newcastle close out 2024 on a high.

Isak edged out stiff competition from Mohamed Salah, who set a new Premier League record with seven goals and seven assists in a single calendar month.

Notably, Isak is the fifth player to win the award in 2024, joining an illustrious group that includes Erling Haaland, Cole Palmer, Chris Wood, and Salah.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s Managerial Excellence

Nuno Espirito Santo secured the Manager of the Month title after guiding Nottingham Forest to a league-high 15 points in December.

• Forest rebounded from a defeat to Manchester City with an impressive run of five consecutive victories, including wins over Manchester United, Aston Villa, and Tottenham Hotspur.
• Their strong form saw Forest enter 2025 sitting third in the Premier League table, trailing only Liverpool and Arsenal.

This marks the second time Nuno has received the award this season and the sixth time in his Premier League career.
