Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has reassured fans that Jude Bellingham is not facing any serious injury concerns after limping off in the 2-1 victory over Rayo Vallecano. With a crucial Champions League clash against Atletico Madrid on the horizon, Madridistas will be relieved by the update.

Bellingham Fit for Atletico Madrid Showdown

Bellingham, who missed the first leg of the Champions League ‘Euro derby’ due to suspension, made his return to domestic action on Sunday. However, his night ended in concern when he was forced off in the 86th minute after receiving medical attention.

Despite initial fears, Ancelotti quickly downplayed the situation, offering a simple response when asked about Bellingham’s condition:

“It was a blow, nothing serious,” said the Italian, indicating that the English star will be available for Wednesday’s decisive second leg.

Thibaut Courtois Injury Update

Another unexpected absence from the squad against Rayo Vallecano was Thibaut Courtois, who was left out due to a knee issue. However, Ancelotti reassured fans that his first-choice goalkeeper will be ready to face Atletico Madrid.

“Courtois will recover quickly for Wednesday,” he confirmed.

With Real Madrid holding a slender 2-1 lead, having Courtois back between the posts could be a major boost for the team.

Federico Valverde’s Fitness Carefully Managed

Midfielder Federico Valverde, known for his incredible work rate, was only used for the final 20 minutes of the Rayo Vallecano game. Ancelotti openly admitted that his substitution decisions are often made with defense in mind:

“When I want to defend, I take off the forwards, it’s not a problem for me.”

Valverde, who played a key role in the first leg, has been carefully monitored due to recent discomfort. However, he remains optimistic:

“I’m happy, delighted. Mentally, I’m calm with what we’re doing physically to recover my body.”

Real Madrid Aiming for ‘Full Throttle’ Performance

Heading into the second leg at Metropolitano Stadium, Ancelotti has promised a high-intensity display as his team continues their quest to defend the Champions League title.
