Bayern Set Price for Coman Amid Liverpool Interest

Bayern Munich have reportedly decided to part ways with Kingsley Coman this summer, aiming to generate funds for a blockbuster move for Bayer Leverkusen’s Florian Wirtz. According to Sky Sport Germany, the Bundesliga giants are open to offers between €30-40m (£25-34m) for the French forward, with Liverpool already making initial inquiries.

Coman has been a reliable squad player for Bayern over the years, contributing goals and assists despite frequently being used as a substitute. This season, under Vincent Kompany, he has come off the bench a record 17 times across all competitions, yet still managed eight goal involvements (four goals, four assists) in the Bundesliga—a tally bettered by only four other Bayern players.

Liverpool are reportedly in an early exploratory phase regarding a potential transfer, while Coman has also attracted interest from Saudi Pro League clubs.

Bayern’s Wirtz Ambitions: A Historic Transfer Battle

Bayern Munich’s decision to offload Coman is directly linked to their pursuit of Florian Wirtz, one of Europe’s most coveted young talents. The 21-year-old playmaker has been instrumental in Bayer Leverkusen’s impressive season, attracting interest from Manchester City and Real Madrid.

Bayern board member Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has openly stated that signing Wirtz is the club’s “clear goal” for the upcoming transfer window. However, the competition for his signature is fierce, with Leverkusen reportedly demanding at least €125m (£104m)—potentially rising to €150m (£125m) if multiple elite clubs enter the bidding war.

Such a transfer fee would make Wirtz the most expensive signing in Bayern’s history.

What’s Next for Coman and Bayern?

With Liverpool’s interest in Coman still in its early stages, Bayern could face a waiting game before securing the funds needed for Wirtz. The German champions may also need to offload other players to meet Leverkusen’s steep asking price.

Would Coman be a good fit for Liverpool’s attack? Should Bayern break their transfer record for Wirtz? Share your thoughts in the comments!
