Manager Carlo Ancelotti expressed disappointment with the incident, labeling it “unnecessary.”
“The game was already over, and this kind of fight doesn’t make sense,” Ancelotti told reporters. “The players were heated, but it wasn’t needed. I tried to calm things down with Maffeo, but nothing significant happened in the end.”
