Liverpool star Mohamed Salah has once again expressed uncertainty over his future at the club despite achieving a remarkable milestone in the Champions League.

In Liverpool’s 2-1 victory over Lille on Tuesday, Mohamed Salah scored a crucial goal, making him the first Liverpool player to reach 50 goals in European competitions. This milestone puts him nine goals ahead of Steven Gerrard, the club’s second-highest scorer in European competitions.

Salah also climbed to ninth on the Champions League’s all-time scoring charts, boasting 51 goals in the competition. Speaking after the game, the Egyptian shared his pride in reaching such an achievement.

“Hopefully not the last [milestone], but I’m very proud of it,” Salah told reporters. “I wasn’t focused on it before the game, but it’s always nice to reach something like that. Lille were a tough opponent, unbeaten for 21 games, so I’m glad we managed to get the win.”

Salah’s Uncertain Liverpool Future

When asked about his future at Liverpool, Salah admitted he is unsure whether he will remain at Anfield next season. Speaking to Amazon Prime, Salah revealed, “I’m not sure about that, but I’ll give it my best.”

While Salah has openly expressed his desire to continue climbing Liverpool’s goalscoring charts, ongoing contract talks between the player and the club have yet to reach a resolution.
