Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham has revealed who he believes is the most talented player at the club—and it’s not Kylian Mbappe or Vinicius Junior.

After Madrid’s 3-1 victory over Manchester City in the Champions League knockout round, Bellingham was full of praise for Rodrygo, calling him a “very underrated” player who brings something special to the team.

Bellingham on Rodrygo: “The Most Gifted Player”

Speaking to CBS Sports, Bellingham couldn’t hide his admiration for the Brazilian forward:

“For me, he is the most talented and gifted player on the team. The things Rodrygo does with the ball, the tricks… I ask myself, ‘how does he do it?’ My ankles would buckle.”

Rodrygo joined Madrid in 2019, following a similar path to Vinicius Junior, moving from Brazil to Spain at a young age. While he often plays as a winger, last season he had to adapt to a central role, which he later admitted wasn’t his preference.

Rodrygo’s Sacrifices for the Team

Despite speculation that Mbappe’s arrival would push him out of the starting lineup, Rodrygo has remained a key player. Bellingham highlighted the Brazilian’s work ethic and selflessness:

“Rodrygo is the one who sacrifices the most. He doesn’t complain, he just does it.”

Recently, the 23-year-old has been linked with a big-money move to Saudi Arabia, with Al Hilal reportedly interested in signing him as a replacement for Neymar. However, earlier this month, Rodrygo shut down those rumors, stating his intention to stay at Real Madrid for many years.
