Saka Ready to Make His Comeback Against Fulham
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has confirmed that Bukayo Saka is fit and eager to return to action as the Gunners prepare to face Fulham on Tuesday. After being sidelined since December due to a hamstring injury, the 23-year-old winger is now available for selection, providing a much-needed boost to Arsenal’s attacking options.
Saka’s injury kept him out of action for over three months, but he resumed full training during the international break, raising hopes of an imminent return. Arteta expressed confidence in Saka’s readiness, dismissing concerns about rushing him back too soon.
“Bukayo is ready to go,” Arteta stated in his pre-match press conference. “We’ve followed the recovery plan carefully, and now it’s about getting him back on the pitch at the right moments. He’s been pushing hard in training, eager to play again, and we’ve had to hold him back at times. But now, he’s ready.”
Can Saka Start Against Fulham?
When asked whether Saka could be included in the starting XI, Arteta kept his answer short and to the point: “Yeah.”
Arsenal fans will be delighted with the news, as Saka’s absence has been a major setback for the team’s attacking efficiency. During his time on the sidelines, the Gunners have struggled to convert chances, a problem worsened by season-ending injuries to Gabriel Jesus and Kai Havertz.
A Crucial Player in Arsenal’s Title Challenge
Before his injury, Saka had been one of the Premier League’s most influential players, registering 11 assists and 5 goals in just 16 league appearances. Despite missing over three months, he remains second only to Mohamed Salah in the Premier League’s assist charts. At the time of his injury, Saka was on track to challenge the league’s single-season assist record (20), a feat last achieved by Kevin De Bruyne and Thierry Henry.
His return comes at a crucial time for Arsenal as they push for the Premier League title. Arteta highlighted Saka’s importance, emphasizing the impact his presence has on the team’s attacking play.
“Having him back is a huge boost for us,” Arteta said. “We know how vital he is to our success, both in creating chances and finishing them. His return gives us another key weapon as we approach the decisive stage of the season.”
Can Saka Lead Arsenal to Glory?
With Arsenal locked in a tight title race, Saka’s return could be the game-changer they desperately need. Do you think his comeback will give the Gunners the edge in their Premier League pursuit?
