Can Chelsea Bounce Back Against Brighton in the Premier League?

Brighton & Hove Albion will host Chelsea for the second time in just six days when the two teams meet in the Premier League on Friday night.

The Seagulls edged past the Blues with a 2-1 victory in the FA Cup fourth round last weekend, adding to Chelsea’s struggles this season. Enzo Maresca’s side has won just three of their last ten matches across all competitions, and all their victories have come at Stamford Bridge.

However, Chelsea managed to climb to fourth place in the Premier League after a 2-1 win over West Ham, and another three points on Friday will secure their spot in the top four for another week. Meanwhile, Brighton will be looking to recover from back-to-back Premier League defeats, including a shocking 7-0 loss to Nottingham Forest. A win here could lift them into eighth place.

Brighton vs Chelsea Prediction

Chelsea’s poor away form and injury issues could be a major concern against a Brighton side that has already beaten them once this week. The Blues have struggled in the final third, and without Jackson or Guiu, their attacking options are limited.

Brighton, despite inconsistency, has the firepower to trouble Chelsea’s vulnerable defense. If they replicate their FA Cup performance, they could secure another 2-1 victory over the Blues.

Prediction: Brighton 2-1 Chelsea
