Barcelona are reportedly close to a deal with Al Ittihad for the sale of Barca Atletic captain Unai Hernandez, as the La Liga giants look to raise funds to secure a loan move for Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford.

Unai Hernandez Nears Saudi Arabia Move

Unai Hernandez, a 20-year-old midfielder and captain of Barcelona’s academy side, Barca Atletic, is said to be in advanced talks with Saudi Arabian club Al Ittihad. The potential transfer could bring Barcelona a much-needed financial boost, with the deal valued at approximately €5 million.

Hernandez has been a vital figure in the club’s youth setup, earning occasional appearances on the first-team bench. Despite expectations for him to extend his contract, which expires in the summer, Hernandez has reportedly requested not to play for Barca Atletic while negotiations with Al Ittihad continue.

Hernandez isn’t the only youth player drawing interest from Saudi Arabian clubs. Defensive midfielder Pau Prim and winger Arnau Pradas are also rumored to be considering offers to move to the Middle East.
