- Antony Nearing Departure from Manchester United
- Real Betis Finalizing Terms for Six-Month Loan Deal
- No Purchase Clause Expected in the Agreement
Real Betis are close to finalizing a deal to sign Manchester United winger Antony on loan for the remainder of the season.
After seeing an initial approach rejected, Betis returned with an improved bid, bringing the negotiations to an advanced stage. Fabrizio Romano has reported that Antony is set to join Betis on loan, with the Brazilian keen on rebuilding his career in La Liga.
The deal will not include a purchase clause, and Manchester United are expected to cover a portion of Antony’s wages during the loan spell.
Betis Sporting Director Manu Fajardo was questioned about the pursuit of Antony on Saturday. While he refrained from going into specifics, he confirmed the club’s interest in the player, saying:
“A very attractive player in this market. Antony is still a Manchester United player.”
