Arsenal’s 18-year-old centre-back, Ayden Heaven, has attracted the attention of top European clubs, with Manchester United and Barcelona both reportedly vying for his signature.

Heaven’s Contract Situation at Arsenal

Ayden Heaven, whose contract with Arsenal is set to expire in the coming months, is currently in the final six months of his deal. The young defender has been offered a chance to extend his stay at the Emirates, but his future remains uncertain. Heaven made his debut for the Gunners this season, featuring in their Carabao Cup win over Preston North End, and has since been an unused substitute in several Premier League matches.

United Leading the Race for Heaven

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, both Manchester United and Barcelona are keen on securing the services of the promising centre-back. While the two clubs are in competition for Heaven, United are currently leading the race, with the Red Devils hopeful of luring the teenager to Old Trafford.

Heaven has been spotted at Old Trafford during United’s Europa League victory over Rangers, and it appears he is weighing his options as his contract with Arsenal winds down.

A Potential Move to United: The Second Arsenal Prospect

Should Heaven make the move to Manchester United, he would follow in the footsteps of another talented Arsenal youth player, Chido Obi-Martin. Obi-Martin, a record-breaking striker for Arsenal’s academy, moved to United on a free transfer last summer after his contract with the Gunners expired. At just 17, Obi-Martin has impressed with nine goals in seven games for United’s Under-18 side this season, as well as making his debut for the Under-21s in the UEFA Youth League.

Will Heaven Follow Obi-Martin to Old Trafford?

Manchester United is hoping to replicate their success in signing young talent, having already seen Obi-Martin flourish. With Heaven’s future uncertain at Arsenal, it remains to be seen whether he will choose to join the growing list of young stars heading to Old Trafford.

What do you think? Should Ayden Heaven stay at Arsenal or move to Manchester United? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
