Chelsea Agree Loan Deal with Juventus for Renato Veiga

Chelsea have reached an agreement to loan out Portuguese defender Renato Veiga to Juventus for the remainder of the season. The highly-rated 21-year-old, who has impressed during his brief stint at Stamford Bridge, is set to continue his development in Serie A.

Renato Veiga has been on the radar of multiple European clubs, including Borussia Dortmund and Napoli. While Dortmund seemed close to securing the defender, Juventus have won the race for Veiga, agreeing to a six-month loan deal with Chelsea. According to Fabrizio Romano, Juventus will pay a €5m (£4.2m) loan fee for Veiga, who is set to return to Chelsea by June 30, just in time for the Club World Cup.

Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has spoken highly of Veiga’s versatility, utilizing him in 18 matches across all competitions this season.
