- Napoli sold Khvicha Kvaratskhelia to PSG for €70m
- Garnacho identified as a potential replacement
- Sporting director Giovanni Manna provides the latest update
Napoli sporting director Giovanni Manna has confirmed the club is actively searching for a replacement for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who recently joined Paris Saint-Germain in a blockbuster €70m (£59.1m) deal. Manchester United’s Alejandro Garnacho has emerged as a top target.
When asked about Napoli’s interest in Garnacho, Manna refrained from revealing specifics but acknowledged the club’s focus on finding the right candidate.
“We are making some evaluations; we must not get carried away by the frenzy,” Manna told Sky Sports Italy. “There is expectation, we will be ready but on Napoli’s terms.”
Negotiations Over Garnacho’s Future
Manchester United are reportedly not keen on selling Garnacho but are open to offers of around £60m. However, Napoli are hoping to negotiate a lower fee closer to £42.2m, according to Corriere dello Sport.
It is believed that Napoli are unwilling to wait too long for United to lower their demands and are prepared to explore alternative options if no agreement is reached.
Alternative Targets for Napoli
While Garnacho remains the primary focus, Napoli have also been linked with other players. Marcus Rashford is one such name under consideration, but the England international has attracted stronger interest from AC Milan and Borussia Dortmund.
As Napoli look to fill the void left by Kvaratskhelia, all eyes will be on whether they can convince Manchester United to part ways with one of their brightest young talents.
