Real Betis have raised their offer to secure Manchester United winger Antony on loan, according to reports.
The £82m winger has seen his role diminish this season, with limited opportunities under both Erik ten Hag and Ruben Amorim. Amorim has opted to give more playing time to young talent Amad Diallo, further pushing Antony down the pecking order.
Betis emerged as Antony’s primary suitor earlier in January, but the high cost of the loan deal, even with Manchester United willing to subsidise a portion of his wages, complicated the negotiations.
Local Spanish publication ABC de Sevilla revealed that Real Betis have submitted a second, improved bid, bringing them closer to meeting United’s expectations.
United are open to Antony’s departure but are seeking guarantees regarding his game time. The club wants to ensure the 24-year-old gets ample opportunities to boost his value, especially if a permanent transfer becomes a possibility.
Antony is reportedly eager to make the move to Spain, prioritising Betis, who offer the added incentive of Conference League football.
Meanwhile, Manchester United are handling other approaches for winger Alejandro Garnacho. Napoli have already had a bid rejected, while Chelsea have shown interest in the Argentina international.
