Everton are aiming to extend their unbeaten Premier League run when they travel to Brentford.

The Toffees haven’t tasted defeat in the top flight since Aston Villa won 1-0 at Goodison Park in David Moyes’ first game back in charge of the Merseyside club. Only Liverpool have picked up more points since Moyes’ comeback, with their rich vein of form steering them clear of the drop zone.

It looked like they’d cruise to victory over Manchester United on Saturday, but a Bruno Fernandes free-kick ignited the previously insipid visitors and the Red Devils eventually claimed a point. However, there was controversy at the end as referee Andy Madley retracted his awarding of an Everton penalty in stoppage time following VAR intervention.

Brentford enjoyed a drama-free evening on Friday as they thumped a woeful Leicester City side 4-0 at King Power. The Bees were 3-0 up at the break and able to coast in the second period.

They’ve had their issues at home in 2025, with their two most recent wins arriving away from the Gtech. Still, Thomas Frank’s side are in a position to challenge for the European spots.

Here is Hattrickx’s guide to Wednesday night’s Premier League clash.

Brentford team news

Mathias Jensen

Mathias Jensen has endured a mightily frustrating campaign due to injury, and the silky Danish midfielder is set for another period on the sidelines due to an adductor issue. His compatriot, Christian Norgaard, will also miss the game after sustaining a concussion on Friday night.

Ethan Pinnock has returned to the fold and will likely partner Nathan Collins with Sepp van den Berg likely to miss out again. Aaron Hickey, Rico Henry, Josh Dasilva and Igor Thiago are all slated for March returns.

Everton team news

Beto - Portuguese Soccer Striker

Moyes has a few concerns in attacking areas, although he will have the in-form Beto available to lead his line. Abdoulaye Doucoure is poised to work off the former Udinese striker, with January addition Charly Alcaraz another option.

The Everton manager will hope Jesper Lindstrom has recovered from an illness in time for Wednesday’s game given that he’s currently without Dwight McNeil and Iliman Ndiaye due to knee injuries. The latter’s setback shouldn’t keep him out for as long as initially projected, however.

Orel Mangala is absent for the long haul, while Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Armando Broja, Youssef Chermiti, and Nathan Patterson are all unavailable.

Everton predicted lineup vs Brentford

Everton predicted lineup vs Brentford (4-4-1-1): Pickford; O’Brien, Tarkowski, Branthwaite, Mykolenko; Lindstrom, Gueye, Garner, Harrison; Doucoure; Beto.

Brentford vs Everton score prediction

Everton have been excellent under Moyes, but their unbeaten Premier League run could come to an end under the lights at the Gtech.

While all of Brentford’s success in 2025 has come on their travels, their peskiness under the lights at the Gtech shouldn’t be forgotten. They enter Wednesday’s bout off the back of back-to-back wins, and Everton may be a little bit down after surrendering a two-goal lead to Man Utd on Saturday.

There’s scope for the hosts to dominate at transitions, although their margin of victory is bound to be small.
